My daughter is 2 1/2 and LOVES to pretend she is a mommy. As a mom I love to encourage this imaginary nurturing play. When given the chance to review Little Mommy’s Bubbly Bathtime Doll, I jumped at the chance. We already have the Princess and the Potty doll from Mattel, that my daughter loves and has made potty training so much easier. (Y’all should check that one out too).
The doll came well packaged, and was rather easy to get out. If you have little girls, you understand how unpacking these things can be more difficult than escaping a straight jacket. I really liked that the ties that secured the doll to the package weren’t all plastic, most were a jute-like rope. This made untying her much easier and didn’t leave little plastic bands all over the kitchen floor in the process. 
My daughter was so excited once I unwrapped the doll that she went straight to playing. The doll came with a small bathtub, a hooded bath towel, a small scoop for washing and a small pump attachment for the tub.
The pump attaches to the tub and features a small reviser which you can fill with either soap or water, and then the child can pump either ‘bubbles’ or ‘bathwater’ into the tub. (I opted for water, because I’m no fun. . .)
I laid out a towel on the kitchen floor, (which I highly suggest doing), filled the tub and the basin and let my daughter go to town.
She really loved playing with the pump and washing the baby, I liked that I had very little concerns about choking when my 9 month old came to play as well.
We also liked that the small purple stains on the doll would disappear and come back with different temperature water. I do wish that the bath water dispenser had a larger holding capacity, I had to refill it quite a few times while she was playing. But the tub was sturdy and didn’t knock over once while playing, which was a major concern.
Unlike other dolls, this doll features holes in the back so the water can drain out- a nice feature. I will say that next time we play with this doll it will be outside, or while she is in the bath. My daughter made a rather big mess and it didn’t take long for her to start washing other toys too, as well as her sister.
I think that this a great toy, especially for an older ‘little mommy’. I am always impressed with the quality of their products.
