The Real-Money Talking Cash Register is the best kid’s register I’ve seen to date! I really love when toys are fun for the kids, but also educational too! Not only does it ring up real money (ok, fake money too… don’t worry!) but it speaks in 3 languages!! And unless a child has parent that is bi or tri-lingual, usually they aren’t lucky enough to learn other languages at such a young age. But this register teaches them a few useful words, how to count in: English, Spanish and French.

Hey, that might be more than YOU know in another language! This cash register can get them excited about speaking another language! Plus, kids learn languages so much easier when they are young! Start the passion for language early!

Ok, so beyond the 3 languages, this very real-to-life register has so many nifty features!

It is fun using the handheld scanner to read barcode stickers (which are included), or run a credit card through the slot or even take turns calling up a ‘price check’ or ‘clean up aisle five’ over the loudspeaker microphone (just like in the stores!) And batteries are even included for once!

This machine is a calculator, adding up totals and show on the digital screen as the talking keypad announces the entries. So fun and real!

The included credit card, barcode sheet and play money will get you started. It would be a resourceful idea to make a few copies of the barcode sheet so you have more in case they get lost! This way you can use more of them– adding to the fun! I would just make a few copies, then just cut them out and tape them to items you want to scan!

This cash register is realistic, and has a ton of neat features. There are a lot of little extras too, like the cash drawer “ca-ching” when it opens! I also like that I could potentially use it  if we had a garage sale or something (since the drawer can take real money too)! It would help me with the math and the change need! I think I like the feature of sliding the credit card (included) the most (maybe because I like doing this in real life too!)

Overall, this is a very fun and educational toy for the kiddos. They will be entertained for hours as they pretend to scan, swipe and take money!

Do you celebrate family night?

Growing up, Fridays were always our family night. Sometimes we would watch movies together, other times we would cook together… but the best Friday family night was game night!

We would take turns choosing which games to play, and it seemed the games never got old, even if we did. Now-a-days it feels like there are WAY more games than ever before! Not to mention that some of the old games we played, now are updated with new spins!

One of those original games with a new spin is Reverse Charades. It is essentially the good ol’ fashioned charades, but, the opposite… or reverse (aka reverse charades)! Ok, let me explain…

So you know how normal charades is played – one player acts out a word/phrase/etc. on a card while the other team mates guess what the player is acting? Well, in the new Reverse Charades, one player guesses while the rest of the team acts out the cards!

The team has 60 seconds to get as many words as one person can guess… and as you can imagine… It is a fun new twist that is bust-a-gut outrageously entertaining!

The one thing I love about this game, that I didn’t like about the original version is the team acting. I never liked being “up on stage” acting out by myself. But in this game, I am not alone! There is a whole group of us acting out the cards! It is fast-paced, and wildly hilarious!

There are two versions of this game:

• The Original
• The Junior Edition

Both versions come with 720 words (on 360 double-sided cards), a sand timer and instructions in a colorful box. Both are recommended for ages 6+. The only difference in the two versions is the Junior Edition cards are a bit easier.

You’ll need at least 6 players to make this game a party… and what a party it can be! It is one of the better group games that I’ve played in a very long time!
