As you can see, I am a huge fan of Dansko for many reasons.

So when Dansko asked if I would be interested in reviewing one of their newest styles, I pretty much couldn’t be more thrilled! This was a shoe company that I already loved, that made shoes I already wore!

I received the Volley Black Coated Canvas Sanibel Collection. They came wrapped in tissue and in a heavy-duty shoe box. They were stuffed with cardboard and tissue to maintain the shape. When I took them out of the box, I was excited to see that they were similar to the clog style that I love!These shoes have many great features.

Of course the grip on the bottom is key. I am running through airports, walking around in messy aircraft galleys, and up and down the aisle. So the textured little star shapes on the sole of the shoes keep me safe from slipping! (Moms, you know what I mean, spilled orange juice, spaghetti sauce, or crayons!)

The rubber slip-resistant bottom sole, is just the beginning. The look on the outside of the shoe is clean, crisp and classy. I received the black coated canvas fabric, but these shoes are also available in canvas fabric, box leather, and leather leather. As for the black coated canvas, they are very pleasing to the eye. They have a light shine to them and can withstand stretches and scuffs. The tip of the toe has an extra rubber portion that keeps your toes safe if you run into something or drop something. The stitching is thick and well-sewn. There are a few fabric pieces that combine to make the top portion of the shoe. Each is stitched together and forms a smooth, attractive-looking shoe.

Of course there is a lot more to a good shoe that just the outside appearance. The comfort is why I love the shoes first and foremost, and always have! The inside of the shoe fits snug and gives exceptional support. I got them in a size 38. I am typically a size 7.5-8, and this is the European size that fits me perfectly! (I highly recommend trying them on in person for sizing before purchasing online!) Since they are in EU sizes they can be a bit confusing, plus you should check and see is wide or narrow fit you better.

This Sanibel style in particular is lighter than the shoes I have had in the past. This is a MAJOR benefit when it comes to carrying them with me in my flight bag! The inside is anatomically correct and fits the shape of my foot from heel to toe. There is a small cushion on the inside bottom and on the top lip for comfort.

I have been wearing these shoes to work (sometimes 14 hour days!) and for everyday purposes for about 3 weeks. I’ve gotta say, once again Dansko shoes stood up to the test by delivering great shoes, just as amazing as the pairs I’ve owned in the past. And if these Dansko shoes are like the ones I have had in the past, they will last me about 3-5 years with pretty heavy use!

I am happy that I first tried this brand when I  trusted a friend’s input. I spent more money than I ever had on shoes before, but boy were they worth the investment! Everyday I was thankful that I had them. I can’t even tell you how worth it they are! I hope these shoes stand the test of time as well.

Like I said before, any one of the Dansko styles make an excellent gift for Mother’s Day. (Moms, you are on your feet just as much as anyone, if not more. This is the ultimate reasons these shoes would benefit you. There is no reason you should be uncomfortable as you chase the children, clean the house or run errands). They have cute heeled shoes, sneaker styles, sandals and boots! They are both a practical and thoughtful gift. I promise, as far as Dansko goes, it worth is to spends $100 on a pair of shoes.

Overall, if I haven’t expressed it already, I am pretty head over HEELS in love with Dansko! Once again, after reviewing some of the shoes from their newest line, I am still overly impressed. Way to go, Dansko! I would recommend Dansko to anybody!!

BURGER KING^® is keeping up with their competition, by offering more choices to their customers.Within the last few weeks, they have expanded their menu to include some great new offerings. Some of the new choices include: Garden Fresh Salads, Snack Wraps, Real Fruit Smoothies, Frappés and Crispy Chicken Strips. Oh, and of course they still have their classic items, including the coveted WHOPPER^® burger.

Personally, I have always thought Burger King had the best fries in the business – so I am happy that they only added items – and didn’t take away or change my favorite crispy fries! My husband on the other hand, loves the fire-grilled WHOPPER® . He’s not alone either… it has been America’s Favorite Burger year after year!!

Lucky for us, we got to enjoy some of the newest offerings (Real Fruit Smoothies and Frappés) at Burger King. We also took a few goofy pictures to show our experience!

The first thing we noticed about the new menu at BK was the… new menu! Ok, really, it wasn’t just the new items… the menu is now a bright, easy-to-read menu. It has a video recording playing that features some of the new items. I must say, it was very eye catching. Then we noticed the new machines that were necessary for the newest beverages! We couldn’t wait to stick our straw in those! Along with our meals, we ordered two of the new beverage offerings: The Real Fruit Smoothie and the Rich and Smooth Frappe.

New Real Fruit Smoothies at BURGER KING^® are offered in 12, 16, and 20oz. servings, and are made fresh to order with real fruit, low-fat yogurt and juices blended together. Each smoothie provides a full serving of fruit and is offered in the following varieties:

• Tropical Mango
• Strawberry Banana

Rich and smooth Frappés at BURGER KING^® are made to order and provide the perfect combination of sweet Mocha or Caramel flavors, a hint coffee and ice. Offered in 12, 16, and 20oz. servings, frappes are available in the following varieties:

The smoothie had a healthy taste to it, and it was a great addition to a light menu option. The Frappe was sweet and delicious! We both agreed that these are great additions to the Burger King menu.

We didn’t get a chance to try everything, but let’s just say I am looking forward to trying out some of the other premium items the next time I go. (Garden Fresh Salads, Snack Wraps and Crispy Chicken Strips). My mouth waters and my stomach growls just reading the names and descriptions of the fresh salads: The Chicken BLT Garden Fresh Salad, Chicken, The Apple and Cranberry Garden Fresh Salad, and The Chicken Caesar Garden Fresh Salad. Yum!

What are your thoughts on the new feather craze? Do you love them like me?

I can’t get enough! I am all-about the feathers for your hair and feathers as earrings and other jewelry! You can find them everywhere… online, department stores even street fairs! No longer are just hair stylists trained to put them in either, there are a lot of options for do-it-yourself kits!

Now that they are becoming more popular, and more places are carrying them, you can find some very reasonable prices! Although there are still some unreasonable prices out there, I found a site that has them for nearly nothing! (No really, a 50-pack of hair feather extensions are just $19.50!) I swear that is unheard of!

This company is a unique online retailer, by the name of Kisspat Feather Store. They are dedicated to a range of feather jewelry, including feather headbands, feather rings, feather earrings, hair feather extensions, and more. Kisspat has more than 300 feathered products, some are real hair feathers and others are synthetic feathers. You can find goose, peacock and more.

My favorite part about the Kisspat site is the DIY section. Even though I might not make use of this section, (I’m not a creative chick)… If I was crafty, I would be all over this! So crafty gals, listen up! They have an entire section for you to accessories your own feather earrings, necklaces, headbands and more! It is the “Make Feather Jewelry Yourself” tab. The materials and tools for the DIY crafts are relatively cheap! I cannot imagine you finding better prices in your local craft store… I dare you to prove me wrong.

Anyway, I was lucky enough to receive a few items from Kisspat for me to test out and review. I did a quick video review of the items I received.

I love that they have items that you can put in by yourself. There range from – very easy Classic Pre-Bonded Clip Ins or – fairly easy Feather Hair Extension Bundles that require a couple of tools (all of which you can buy on Kisspat).

These are a great gift for a teenage girl, or a fashionable and hip mom. Hey, I am almost thirty after all and I still love wearing feathers in my hair!
