Camilla Olson 100% Silk Summer Scarves

We’ve put away our snowblower and shovels, so I am officially declaring that I am done with the snow! I am accepting only sun from here on out – with a little rain too!

Now that the weather is heating up, I am excited to sport my light, bright scarves and put my big, thick ones away! I have a lovely chiffon scarf from Camilla Olson that I am thrilled to begin pairing with many summery outfits.

My Chiffon Scarf

The scarf that I have is very luxurious. It is a deep pomegranate color in a unique print. The chiffon scarf is imported from Asia and is custom printed in Camilla’s California textile studio, meaning no two scarves are exactly alike. It is very delicate and soft, but does need some additional thought and care due to the 100% silk material. It is dry clean only. One thing that I appreciated that came with the scarf, was a flyer that shows how to tie a scarf in different ways for each day of the week! I got some awesome new ideas on how to wear this!

My Take

I will say, browsing her website is a very fun event! She has some incredible pieces on there! If you’re like me, and love the look of gold, she has it all – in so many different creative styles. I can tell much of which is inspired from her worldwide travel. I love that the pieces look worldly and unique. You can tell the quality in the design and material isn’t lacking.

As for the necklace I have, I adore it. It is a fun, capturing and artistic design. The necklace is bright and bold – plated in 18K gold. The necklace came packaged in a gift bag with a tag. It was incredibly professional. The charm is very elegantly made. The inside leaf is braised while the circle links are smooth to the touch. Together with the long gold chain, this necklace is an outstanding and charming piece.

Unique Pearl Jewelry from Bliss Designs

Pearls are a stunning natural resources for jewelry that are both timeless and true. I’ve seen pearls in many shapes and forms, in necklaces, bracelets and more… but I’ve never seen them like this!

Bliss Designs has a whole different and unique way of displaying pearls! Beautiful freshwater pearls are displayed inside recycled copper plumbing pipe-turned-pendants filled with resin… so unique right?

I was lucky enough to experience this handmade jewelry myself! I have been wearing the Monaco Blue Collection – small copper earrings from Bliss Designs!

These earrings are as unique as they look in the pictures! I’ve never seen anything like them! They are handcrafted, so there is potential of slight variation between each piece. Each earring has a stunning blue pearl in the resin which lays inside the cooper pipe circles.

The circle is 5/8 inches of copper pipe (upcycling) which goes through an intensive process of cleaning, darkening and filling. If you are interested in the dirty details of how the Bliss pendants are made (think scraps from a kitchen remodel of Anne Bliss’ 1896 home!) then you must check out the "See how Bliss Cu pendants are made" page at Bliss Deigns website. It is so interesting!

After the copper is ready, it is filled with resin and freshwater pearls, or in the case of my small earrings, just a single pearl.

The earring back is secured to the ear by a strong sterling silver lever back (which has been darkened to match the copper). The earrings aren’t as heavy as they look, are so incredibly unique and come presented nicely with a soft black velvet pouch.

The Monaco Blue Collection has earrings (small or large) and pedants (small, medium and large) which can be made into necklaces or bracelets. Besides the Monaco Blue Collection, Bliss also has a number of other collections – green, white, red, multiple colored, etc. I love that you can buy a single piece and then have the opportunity to purchase matching pieces in the collection as well.

There is something about angels that I love. Maybe because they are beautiful, can fly and work to protect and guard us. I feel like I have at least one guardian angel in my life, sometimes I can feel that they are present!

I love all things angelic. Especially angel wings. As many of you know, flying is my passion – that is why I am as close to heaven as I can get by being a flight attendant!

Jewelry that Spreads Kindness and Good Karma–Dogeared Jewelry

I remember growing up and looking through my moms jewelry box thinking what beautiful and sparkly pieces of jewelry she had. First Feature: Chiffon Overlay Peplum Dress

This dress is stunning. It’s delicate chiffon overlay drapes over a black knit tube dress. The thick zipper inside the keyhole back gives this dress a sassy and bold touch. This dress is sleeveless and short – it would be ideal for a party or nice date night evening. I am pretty hip-y and was worried about the tight knit skirt, but to my surprise, I was excited to feel comfortable and sexy in it. I have the peplum to thank for that – peplum is the overhanging skirt that ruffles at the waist line – a great cut for my body.

Second Feature: Kayla Bag

The ShopAKIRA ‘Kayla’ Bag is adorable and just the right size. It can be used like a clutch (no straps) or you can clasp on the leather strap on the back to be worn around your shoulder or across your body – because it is adjustable. I love the different ways to wear this purse – keep it classy or casual.

The bag is a pretty pinkish-red "poppy" color. The outside is micro suede, with leather edging and corners. The closure is a magnetic snap flap and then a zipper inside. My items are very secure in this bag! The interior lining is smooth and a perfect fit for my tablet. there are two storage pockets on the inside, great for the cell phone, lip gloss and keys.

Basics are well.. basics… but totally necessary pieces in any wardrobe. I can’t wait to get dozens of them from ShopAKIRA. They are so handy for layering!!!

FOURTH FEATURE: Laser Cut Contrast Sheath Dress

This is my first time experiencing laser cut clothing pieces. Thanks to ShopAKIRA I am discovering a love for the contrasting cut and look of the laser. This sleeveless dress has won me over. I will definitely be seen wearing more laser cut items in the future – ShopAKIRA has a fun selection of laser cut shirts and more.

The dress contrasts the outside Coral color with the inside Mint layer. It is a flattering front scoop neck, empire waist, and has an invisible side zipper with hook-and-eye closure. This was my hubby’s favorite of the two dresses.

Affordable Fashionable Amazing! Soie Shop {Review}

I found my magical place online. It is called Soie Shop. Call me crazy, but literally I’ve found happiness within this fashionable online women’s shop! They carry all sorts of adorable dresses, accessories and more. I know, I know… there are a million places that carry clothing and accessories too, but not of this quality at STEALS of prices! I cannot believe the items I got – so inexpensive and so awesome! Okay, let me just show you how incredible they are… Starting with the Sequins Tube Topped Mini Dress. This sequins top dress is perfect for New Years or a dressy get together. This sassy dress flows nicely with it’s gathered-at-the-waist design. And wow, it looks amazing on. Both the tube top style and the detailed high waist makes this dress look good on nearly all body shapes. From curvy to straight.

The golden mini-sequins are securely attached and all over the top, leaving no gaps or missing sections. They give this dress lots of pizazz! There is a zipper down the side of the dress that allows you to easily slip it on and off. And speaking of slipping, nobody likes a tube top that needs to constantly be tugged on right? Well this one you won’t have a problem with it sliding down because there is a clear elastic bra band that keeps everything up… so you can move and dance comfortably!

Okay, I am in love with this tube top mini dress! I need to start making more classy plans so I can wear it more often! Oh and the best part? There is no way anyone would believe me if I told them this dress is only $19.36 at Soie Shop. No, seriously. The next dress I fell in love with at first sight was the very Lovely In Lace Party Dress. This dress feels more formal, classy, and elegant to me. This lace dress is delicate in every way. It reminds me of Hollywood and something an actress would wear on the red carpet.

From the pictures I took it looks all black, but in reality the sleeves are see-through lace! I love how the long sleeve look is so popular now… and surprisingly sexy! What is modestly covered in the front is revealed in the back with a large scoop opening complimenting your back and shoulder blades. Everything about this dress is currently in style. I’ve seen it in all the celebrity magazines recently – fully covered lace, low back, full sheer sleeves, see-through sequins accents and floral designs. LOVE IT ALL!

This sophisticated dress is truly is a gorgeous, feminine, and intriguing. And this classy look is only $23.80, can’t beat that! To add some color to my mainly black wardrobe, I opted for the Geometric Color Block Day Dress. This dress comes in both a blue or purple look. This dress is summery and bright which makes it perfect for a block party!

It is "V" neck in the front and back with a zipper down the back for ease of stepping into it. There is a girly satin ribbon at the waist, to give shape so you don’t look boxy. The skirt is slightly flared with two panels of pleats on each side. This fun dimension of the pleats adds a unique look to the horizontal block style. The dress is so flattering and fun, it is a must-have for feeling girly, colorful and free.

This dress was a steal at $18.10 and last I looked it was on sale for $14.48, um… get one in every color!

The Sexy Structured Biker Jacket is a piece everyone needs in their closet. I became a leather jacket fan just a few months back when I got one on a whim, and from there received dozens of compliments on it. Every time I wear it, I hear sweet words about it, and this jacket is no different.

This being my second leather jacket (well faux leather), and my first black one, I couldn’t believe I had never had one before! This jacket is stylish and sexy all over. It goes with so much! There is a million ways to work it into an outfit, or build an outfit around it! (That is why I built two example outfits below – instead of one!)

I love the detailed collar of jewels. The cut on the bottom is fashionable, slimming and different. The jacket can be dressed up or down to make the perfect look. It is going to be on regular rotation in my outfits for sure!

Four Outfit Pairings with Boots from Heels.com

HOORAY! I just pulled out my under-the-bed storage full of my fall/winter boots. It was such a pleasant surprise to welcome back some of my favorite boots (at least until summer comes again). I don’t know about you, but I kind of have a boot obsession, and the website heels.com is fanning the flame!

The Boots Search is ON

While I love the boots I pulled out of my drawer, I realized I mainly have black boots! How did I accumulate so many black boots? And only black? Then I remembered I threw out my brown boots last year due to a chipping heel and toe. That was a sad day. So what did I do? I checked out heels.com and browsed through tons of mouth-watering boots. Boy, did they have a fabulous selection of women’s boots at heels.com. It wasn’t long before I found the Fergie Fantasy Boots, that would surely incorporate more variety into my boot collection.

The Fergie Fantasy Boots were ordered and shipped to my door in two days! I couldn’t believe it! When I opened the shoe box, I found the boots nicely packed in tissue, and the boots had cardboard inserts to hold their shape. They were in better shape than any retail shop’s boots! The wedge style boot came in a gorgeous sandy taupe color with a zipper on the side and a decent 3 1/2 inch wedge heel. The boots fit like a glove, right up to my knees length. I found the boots to be true to size, and they went with everything! No, really they do… check out some of the outfits I paired with them below!
