Sometimes it feels like I spend half the day gathering up dirty clothes, unraveling bunched up socks, washing and folding laundry. If I can save time doing this necessary chore, I will do it!

I just finished cleaning with a new product called Windex® Touch-Up Cleaner. And what did I think?

For me, I am just short of being a total clean freak, so this product is right up my alley. It is right there on the counter for me to give a quick wipe down anytime.  Right when I need it. Panasonic Jetforce Vacuum {Review} #HolidayGift

Pine needles from the tree are scattered around the house. Not just in the living room. I’ve found them in my guest room, the master bedroom and even on our bed. Of course there is no doubt, our dog helps in spreading the pine needles across these surfaces. Pine needles are just one of my many floor nuisances during the holidays. I’ve also got to worry about crumbs, dust, dirt, and massive amounts of dog hair.

With all of the gunk that are lurking in my carpet, I rely heavily on a good vacuum. Vacuuming my entire home at least weekly is not a chore, it is more like a routine. I find comfort in seeing my floor go from dirty to clean. I get excited seeing how much icky-stuff fills up in the vacuum’s bagless see-through container. It is rewarding for me. Of course, it helps to have a powerful vacuum. Without a good vacuum, there would be little reward.

With the Panasonic Jetforce Vacuum MC-UL427 I see results immediately. It works wonders at sucking up messes on both the carpet and the hard wood floor. And if I want to clean up dog hairs and unknown substances on the couch? The quickdraw tool works for that! This is one quality vacuum cleaner.

So much for thinking of them only as TVs and electronics. They have designed a vacuum that has everything! At only 15lbs, it is (as of April 2012) the lightest in the North American market! It only takes one hand for me to lift it up and down the stairs in my home!

Okay and sadly… I thought I had a good vacuum before. I honestly did. Until I realized just how much it was missing.. that the Panasonic was picking up! I would vacuum with my standard vacuum and then trace my steps with the Panasonic, and sure enough the dirt and hair would fill into the bagless container, like I hadn’t vacuumed before at all! I swear to you I vacuumed once a week (at least) – yet this is what the Panasonic came up with after making a round through my entire upstairs (about 1200 sq. ft.). I was impressed and disgusted at the same time! Thank goodness we don’t have dust allergies!

cleaning vacuuming containercleaning with panasonic brandThe Panasonic has thrilled me. This vacuum went above and beyond and over-achieved all the expectations I had for it. While I don’t totally understand all the details of how it’s magic works (HEPA filter, 12 AMPS motor, etc.) I will say whatever they have done to make this vacuum what it is, really works well.  The success of this vacuum brings me great joy with each and every container of gunk I have to empty. Here are some of the features of the vacuum that almost anyone would appreciate:

    • panasonic good housekeeping vacuumI gotta tell you, one other thing I love is that it is easy to remove clogs since you can see where they are in the clear hose. If you stretch the hose out it becomes more and more transparent allowing you to see if there is a clog. I am enamored by the see-through bagless dust container too. This is handy for seeing when it is full and seeing what you pick up. You never know when you will vacuum up a necklace (done it) or a shoelace (done it). Not only that, you can see which rooms really pick up the dirt – that way you can spend more time focusing on these locations.

    If I could make two improvements to the vacuum they would be a little bit better maneuvering quality and an easier way to dump out the dirt container. While I found the quick release of the dust bin is easy to use, and the bottom dirt comes out fast and easy, the top dirt sticks in the container. In order to get the top dirt out, I needed to grab the excess stuff at the top with my hand. It did not come out from shaking it over the trash alone.
    Other than that, the Panasonic JetForce Vacuum works wonders on my home’s multiple floor surfaces! It has been keeping my home clean for a few weeks now and been a gem to help me quickly clean up before guest and holiday parties. I love my Panasonic Jetforce Vacuum and highly recommend it for the homeowner or apartment dweller. It is lightweight, powerful and gets the job done!

My Thoughts On Simple Green Laundry

After using this HE detergent, I will now be keeping Simple Green Laundry on hand all the time. I feel in love with it’s impressive list of "free and clear" ingredients, and was thrilled with its capabilities – mainly its stain-fighting power. I always pre-wash my clothes, and then run them through the laundry, but I could tell Simple Green was powerful, even on its own, after doing a heavy load of laundry.

The concentrated formula (2x) strength meant I got more loads out of less bottle. This is better for the environment and for hulling around when shopping! It worked perfectly for my front-loading (high-efficiency) washing machine. I just loaded the dirty clothes in, filled up the handy measuring cup/cap, poured in the necessary amount and watched my clothes get clean (without all the nasty chemicals and dyes!)

NEW! Purex Ultra Packs Laundry Detergent

I’ve got the inside scoop on a new product – a product that is yet to be released – Purex Ultra Packs. I was very excited to be a part of the review team, I got to test these products before they are released to the general public!

When I first opened the Ultra Packs package, I was confused with what I saw. I recalled that I’d seen similar looking packs for the dishwasher. Yes, I’ve used these packs for the dishwasher and they work great! Wait! I thought I was reviewing laundry detergent?

Oh, these are for the laundry, you say?! How strange!

These new Ultra Packs are similar to those dishwasher packs, but for the laundry. Noticeably, they are a little more squishy, a little bigger and just solid blue!

Triple-Action-PurexThey are a very cool idea, but I honestly couldn’t take these laundry packs seriously when I first saw them. I mean…

How were they going to work correctly in my HE washing machine?

How could they be so small and work as well as my normal liquid detergent?

How will they not stain my clothing?

Yes, to say the least, I had a few concerns before using these little guys… But I continued on with  my review and tested out the little packs on a full load of laundry (with my husbands laundry just to be safe, lol!) Purex-Ultra-Packs-No-MessI placed the Ultra Pack inside my machine and then loaded my (husbands) clothes on top. Note: I did not use any detergent in the dispenser, nor did I put the Ultra Pack in the dispenser! It went right into the drum of my front loading Whirlpool Washer!

Then I started the load as normal and watched the water pour in and dissolve the little pack! (I love that my washing machine allows me to see what is going on in there!)

It took just a few moments while the water meet the Ultra Pack for it to dissolve. I noticed blue spots on a few items – but sure enough it spread and dissolved the entire Ultra Pack and it looked like regular detergent.

These unique, convenient packs contain a complete load’s worth of concentrated liquid laundry detergent. Plus, since it is a liquid, it dissolves quickly, even in cold water, to fight stains and clean your laundry.

A few things I want to mention: These mini packs are 2x the strength of other detergent… and that’s how they can get away with being so small. They are all gel, with a dissolving outer layer, so you want to make sure you have dry hands when handling them, otherwise you’ll have a mess on your hands!

They work in both your typical machine and HE machine, top loading and front loading. I tested them in a front loading HE machine and they worked well, thank goodness!Purex-Ultra-Packs

There are two scents: Mountain Breeze and Free and Clear. I reviewed the Mountain Breeze and I am pleased with the light scent. I have used the Free and Clear scent on a different Purex product before, and think it is great for those who have sensitive skin or allergies.

The Ultra Packs come in a re-sealable bag. This is critical so they don’t get sticky from the dissolving film holding the pack together!

I like the packs for the fact they are easy and quick. No pouring and spilling. No heavy jug of liquid. With the convenience and ease of this product – wouldn’t they be great for teaching children to do their own wash?

But don’t go running out to the store JUST yet! These neat-o little laundry helpers won’t be on the shelves until February 2012. So you can be on the lookout then!

Purex Triple Action Review

This liquid detergent is safe for HE or all other standard machines. You can do up to 33 normal loads (or a few less large loads). The bottle is handy with the handle grid and size.

As for price, Purex is affordable and very competitive to other leading brands. I more often-than-not find it is cheaper than other big name brands. So since I know that it works well and is priced right, there is no reason for me not to buy it on my own!

As promised this product, Purex Triple Action, left our clothing bright, white, and clean! Once again, Purex developed a winner!
