Products like Seventh Generation Cleaners are ones that I love to talk about on my blog and support in my life. While it might just be a cleaning product company, it is a company that I trust in my home for cleaning and staying green at the same time. I feel safe using these products around my family. They are socially responsible and conscious of the environment, and that is why I would love to tell you about some things they are doing at the moment!
Seventh Generation recently launched the ‘Cleanhouse Challenge’ Facebook App, in collaboration with RealSimple.com and 350.org. The Cleanhouse Challenge invites users to explore a virtual house and discover coupons and prizes, while learning expert’s advice on how to keep a green, healthy home. With this app you can virtually visit each room of a house and discover cleaning tips, environmental cost saving ideas and more.
I think it is so cool how they put this app together in such a user-friendly form, where you are searching by the room in the house. I mean, how practical is that? The app is made for the everyday person, not the superstar home know-it-alls! There are tips to disinfect kids toys, or remove stains from the shower curtain… hello, handy!
Oh, right, and something else – when a user completes each room in the Challenge, Seventh Generation will donate 10 dollars (up to $15,000) to 350.org, an environmental organization focused on solving the climate crisis. You can show your expertise from September 13 – October 31, by checking out the Seventh Generation Facebook Page, or visiting http://www.cleanhousechallenge.com/.
