Disclosure: Purathrive sent me liquid vitamins for testing purposes.
Have you ever wondered what is better – liquid supplements or pill capsules? I never even thought about the benefits of pills vs. liquid vitamins until last year when I was always tired and had very low energy.
Even though I was eating healthy, spending time outside and taking daily supplements, I was still exhausted all of the time. Wanting to get to the root of my exhaustion, I had my blood drawn for vitamins and minerals deficiencies. Sure enough I was lacking in Vitamin D and B12 (both which are linked to brain fog, feeling run down, tired, memory loss, mood swings and low energy.) Driving home from the appointment, I went and bought some high-end vitamins thinking maybe it was the brands or the amounts I was taking that wasn’t doing it for me.
Months later I was still feeling the same – brain fog and tired. It wasn’t until my doctor suggested I try liquid vitamins because “some people can’t absorb pills well.” I had no idea!
Are liquid vitamins better than pill vitamins?
The short answer is maybe, maybe not. Liquid and pill vitamins can both be good, however, sometimes liquid supplements just work better for some stomachs. Like mine. Depending on the person, liquid may be a better form of supplement, especially if pills upset your stomach or aren’t giving you the nutrients that you are supposed to be getting from the vitamin.
Benefits of Liquid Supplements:
- Quickly absorbed (It takes about 1-4 minutes to absorb)
- Easy on your body (May be easier to digest, nothing to break down)
- Higher Potency (Often more nutrient dense)
- More stable (Less affected by heat and humidity)
- Greater flexibility (can adjust the dose)
From my personal experience, some liquid vitamins do a better job than pill form. For these, I think my body was pill-popped out. Now I only take a few pills but mostly prefer liquid supplements. Two of my favorite liquid supplements come from PURATHRIVE.
PURATHRIVE B12 – This liquid B12 supplement has been helping my foggy brain ever since I began taking it. My body seems to soak in the daily droppers of B12 and give me instant energy. My fatigue and exhaustion is no longer a daily occurrence. I would like to say that it helps me with my mood fluctuations too – but you’ll have to ask my husband about that.
PURATHRIVE Turmeric – Turmeric is one of my favorite herbs. It is best known for its anti-inflammatory benefits. Along with making turmeric tea, I also use this liquid version. It is a highly concentrated, full-spectrum turmeric, so that I am getting all the anti-inflammation benefits. Inflammation is a brutal thing on the body and by taking this liposomal turmeric daily, I am giving my body a fighting chance to reduce it!
