PrAna and Spring Make Me Happy - With Our Best

Why do you love Spring?

Is it the longer days? Is it the flowers in bloom? Is it the warmer weather?

Spring is that in-between weather time where it is not quite tee-shirt and shorts weather, but is tee-shirt and pants or sweatshirt and shorts weather! Spring is the relief from the winter cold, the reminder that the outdoors can still be enjoyable! I don’t know about you, but the first nice day of Spring, I’ve got my hiking boots on, I pack my dog in the car and we go explore a trail!

I look forward to Spring so I can get back into my favorite outdoor activities!

When it comes to outdoor clothing, one company that I align with well is prAna. I have been obsessed with their clothing since discovering them shortly after moving to Colorado. They expand way further than Colorado though – they are all over the USA and beyond! You can find them in all sorts of sports and specialty shops (REI, Christy Sports, etc.) They also have many stand-alone stores, like my favorite prAna retail store in Boulder, CO! I have spent countless hours in that store!

Why do I shout the praises for prAna?

As far as a company goes, prAna is thoughtful, resourceful and sustainable. They treat their people well and they are mindful of their environmental impact. They use materials from sustainable sources and give back to programs both locally and internationally. They are a company that I am proud to support with my hard earned money!

Beyond their best practices, they make the BEST clothing for men and women. Their styles are unique, the prints are fun and their clothing is outdoorsy-versatile! From yoga to climbing to camping to traveling! They know what they are doing!

I was thrilled to add two more pieces of prAna clothing to my (decently full of prAna clothing) closet. I chose these two items because I loved how they represent prAna and the Spring line. For this review, I ordered the Kara Jean and the Garland Tee.

The Garland Tee

I found the Garland to be everything that I had hoped for it to be! The colors in this tee are lovely and bright – the blues remind me of the ocean and the sky. The style is fun and unique, unlike anything else I own. It is soft and comfortable, something I can move in. It is a lightweight tee shirt, but not see through! The burn out fabric makes it stand out from other plain cotton shirts. It is made from a blend of recycled materials and organic cotton. And guess what? It’s made in the USA!

The Kara Jean

The fabric combination of 79% organic cotton, 19% polyester and 2% spandex make the Kara Jean so soft and stretchy, they feel like leggings. Kara Jeans feel kind of like Jean-Leggings… or also know as the hipster term “jeggings”. The Kara Jean moves when you move, it stretches as you stretch, it fits your curves and your body! You don’t get that hard pocket fabric puncturing your tush when you sit down in them either – they feel seamless!

The Kara Jean is a crazy popular item from prAna and it is no wonder why. Just from wearing these myself, I cannot say enough good things about these jeans! I never knew jeans could be this comfortable!
