Browse, touch, browse, touch. Do you touch clothing fabric as you peruse the racks while shopping? I can’t help it, I do. There is something about a great fabric in your fingers that makes you stop and view an item. Am I right? Just with your fingers alone, you can tell when a fabric is cheap or quality. Whether the item is going to last, or fall apart after 2 washings.
Maybe I am on my own for this, maybe not? I just know when I’ve found something good or found something great! This brings me to the product review at hand… Mikarose.
My Serena Dress Review
When touching this dress in my hands it felt sturdy, well made and of high quality. I knew this dress was made-to-last dress. It is heavy fabric, which makes it look more put together and not just another flimsy summer dress. Not only that, this dress is as soft you can imagine! It is 95% Viscose and 5% Spandex. So very comfortable.
Of course there is always more than the fabric. Like the look and the style. Mikarose hit a homerun on that too! This dress is truly a lovely dress.
The Cinnamon color could be pulled off all year round. The cap sleeves are delicate. They add a simple touch to the shoulders, more than just a tank top dress. The front is a “V” neck, but not a low cut. Not the kind of “V” neck where as your boobs fit into each section, nearly popping out. It doesn’t show all your cleavage! It is flattering and modest.
The empire top is ruched (scrunched up). It adds texture and style to this otherwise simple design. In addition there is a piece of fabric on the skirt that flows against the side. It is a new layer and gives the bottom potion a nice loose look. In my opinion the extra fabric takes away from the focus on the hips. Thank goodness – because typically my hourglass body doesn’t look good in knit dresses. Knit fabrics usually make me look wider. But not today, due to the empire waist, extra fabric and ruching – this particular dress doesn’t.
This dress would be great for a dinner party, a wedding or day to day. It is the kind of dress you can wear with flip flops or heels, a flower in your hair or fancy chandelier earrings. It is versatile, versatile, versatile!
