This story: The Progression of Scents of My Man… From Fish to Fresh to Fragrance post is made possible by Collective Bias® who sponsored this post with Cologne.
There is something about the scent of a man… okay, there is something about the scent of MY man! When he walks by with just the right touch of cologne, I melt.
Maybe this is because when I first met him, he was boarding a plane in Anchorage, Alaska – after 5 days of fishing without a single shower. THAT was a smell to remember. That was his memorable (not in a good way) first impression smell.
First met my husband? Smelled like rotting fish.
His second impression smell was much better. It was our first date and he took a shower for it. 😉 He was fresh and clean, with a hint of Irish Spring soap. I remember it well, surprisingly it sunk in more than the fishy whiffs!
First date? Smelled of soap = improvement.
Our next few dates he smelled of various scents, such as a small spritz of his college cologne. It was manly and robust. On another date, it was just simply his after shave that hit my nose right away when we embraced in a hug. Each one of his various scents reminded me of getting to know him, having a fun dates, and slowly… I was falling for him. Each smell would trigger happy memories with him.
Getting to know my husband? Attraction through smell.
Now-a-days I am pretty accustomed to what he is going to smell like. If we are going out on a date, he will fancy it up with some cologne, on an everyday basis it is just his natural scent or the smell of his deodorant. To keep things interesting, I get involved.
Finding the right scent for him, is easy. When trying out new scents, there is an affordable option to get name brands at affordable prices. Walmart has a fragrance shelf with designer brands such as Justin Bieber’s Girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift’s Wonderland and classic men cologne like Polo Ralph Lauren and Curve for Men.

Now that we are married? Memories from multiple fragrances.
I love finding new scents for him so I can make new scent-memories and savor the sweet moments I have with him. Memories based on a scent. Just like an animal, I am attracted to him through his scent and unique smells trigger memories!
We recently tried Curve for Men, and we both agree it is great. It is a light boost of fragrance, it is attractive and appealing. Hints of lavender, cloves, lime and cedar. Curve for Men comes in full size, but also smaller sizes like .5 oz or 1 oz. fragrance bottles. I love this, because we can test out various fragrances for a time, and never get sick of them!
