Happy Friday! Are you having a good 2018 so far? It has been busy for me each weekend filled to the brim! I am excited for a break this weekend… however I think I will be spending it in bed because I am feeling a sore throat and stuffiness coming on quick. My body might be failing me after all the madness in the past few months. Anyway, I would love to share my first Friday Favorites of 2018! Here goes!
Workout Yoga Leggings
Hunting for leggings online can be a challenge. In my experience, I have ordered leggings much too small and much too see-through! I am a legging addict so I continue to buy and try! Most recently I tried the Dragon Fit Women’s Power Flex Activewear Pants. They were under $20, so worth a risk. First, I love that they are thick! It is my biggest annoyance when pants are thin like tights – I can’t wear those out! Next I love that they are high rising, tucking that belly in! They are comfortable and stretchy – just as you’d expect. The one note is these pants are on the small side – I am a size 5 pants and ordered a medium – but probably would more comfortable in a large. Buy these leggings on Amazon.
If you are gluten free, you are very familiar with Canyon Bake House bread. They are a well known and popular brand. I love that they stay fresh and fluffy until the very last slice. Also, if you have other dietary concerns beyond gluten – they are also dairy, soy and nut free. They are a safe solution for those on a limited diet. Forget about falling apart sandwiches with the Canyon Bake House Ancient Grain Bread… they are hearty and stick together! Find these in the refrigerated gluten free section of most grocery stores nationwide.
This is such a fun book for the kids that are passionate about baking! There are mainly sweet treats included in this book like the coconut explosion cupcakes, chocolate chunk brownies and zebra marble cake. Some of the savory baked goods include pizza dough, pepperoni pinwheels and quick and easy drop biscuits. There is a front sections full of tips – that even I took something away from! The Kid Chef Bakes Cookbook is a lovely guide that will boost any young bakers confidence. Buy the Kid Chef Bakes on Amazon.
Okay, how adorable is this board? I found it on Amazon and thought of a million uses for it. This 10×10 board came with bullet lettering that includes characters, alphabet, numbers and even emojis! Isn’t that fun? I love the black felt and the sturdy wooden board. It has a tabletop stand or a hanging mounting hook. One thing is, I don’t love the old oak wood look edging – so I think I am going to stain it or paint it. I am excited for all of the custom messages that I will write on this board! It will be great for the blog! Find this Letter Board on Amazon!
We have a trailer and a boat that both sits outside around the clock. Unless my husband is working on it in the garage – like above! I thought it would be nice to protect these tired from the sun, high and low temperatures, hail and more – we get all the elements here in Colorado! I ordered these RORAIMA RV Tire Covers that are large enough to protect RVs, Campers, SUVs and more. They work great on the large tires we have on the trailer! The design is nice and makes it easy to fit over the tire without too much struggle. I am looking forward to seeing how well these hold up and protect our outside tires. Find these Tire Covers on Amazon.
PB Crave Peanut Butter Spread
When I thought peanut butter couldn’t get any different. I found that PB Crave is new and exciting! This peanut butter has fun flavors like – Coconut Milk Chocolate, Raspberry White Chocolate and Sweet and Dark Chocolate – yes a peanut butter! These chocolate-y flavors are fun for toast, crackers, apples, pancakes, smoothies and more. We tried it on celery – not the best idea! 🙂 While it might not make a good ant on a log these sweet and chocolate peanut butter flavors are otherwise delicious and fun! All the PB Crave flavors are made in the USA and gluten free. I partnered with MomsMeet for the sample. They can be found for ARP $5.99 in retailers nationwide such as Jewel, Albertsons and Vons.
Last year, I joined a dozen bloggers at the Good Day Chocolates corporate headquarters. Since then, I have been a daily-use Good Day supplement user, my favorite being the Good Day Chocolates Turmeric and Good Day Chocolates Vitamin D3. While they all really taste the same, I think these are my top favorites because they are not easy to get in my diet! Turmeric for example is a powerhouse herb! It has incredible benefits – I try to add a pinch or two to meals on occasion, but other than that it is hard to implement in my life. Now I rely on these for my turmeric intake! I just love Good Day – find them in natural stores like Sprouts, Whole Foods and Natural Grocers!
I have followed a low FODMAP diet in the past. It is a very successful diet to gain control of your body. To this day I recommend it to a lot of people. And thanks to my sensitive gut, I will probably be on this diet a few more times in my life. It is a great resource for anyone who suffers from digestive health issues like IBS. Following this diet isn’t a walk in the park, it is full of challenges and limitations and that is why I love this Low FODMAP cookbook. It helps you focus on what you can eat!
