Sensitivities and allergies are more common today than in the past. And actually, finding out about allergies in adulthood is increasing. I have yet to go to an allergen to test for potential allergies, but I know I have sensitivities. (I plan on getting an allergy test this year though – hold me to it!). One of the sensitivities I have is to milk. If I drink a whole glass of milk my tummy feels sick and I feel icky. But I love milk! Lucky for me, there are some great substitutions for milk, that are just as satisfying.
Almond Breeze by Blue Diamond is one of those great milk substitutions. It is a smooth and creamy beverage made from almond nuts! Almond Breeze Vanilla 4-Berry Smoothie:
- 1/2 cup EACH (frozen or fresh): (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry)
- 1/2 cup Orange Juice
- 1 cup Vanilla Almond Breeze
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract or Honey
Instructions: Pour ingredients into blender and blend! (If using fresh berries – also include a few ice cubes!)

Buy Almond Breeze! You can find Almond milk in most grocery stores, including Whole Foods. You have to search a bit though. It is not in the normal milk section, but on the shelves with other natural foods! It doesn’t require refrigeration until after opening!
