Welcome to "Stewardess Rants & Raves" – a blogging vent sessions based on my bizarre life as a flight attendant. Read about how I deal with the general public in one of the most stressful situations – air travel. Please forgive me in advance for my sarcasm.

Immediately as he walks on board in the most dramatic way says, "OMG can you turn down the heat???" (literally he just stepped on, not even at row one of the cabin yet) "Ahh! It is so hot, it is exactly 66 degrees." I sort of tilt my head like dogs do sometimes. And he continues, "No it is hotter…wait… it is 67 degrees in here. You must turn the heat down!!"
The pilot was behind me and heard all this too. After our weather-man passenger was a few people deep, the pilot turns to me and says, "Did that just happen?" as he turns down the heat a little. “Yes it did, you actually miss a lot being trapped up there”, as I gesture toward the cockpit. Welcome to my life with the general public Captain…
The best part about this story is after the flight. The pilot was saying goodbye with me. When our weather analysis friend deplaned, he thanked us greatly for getting the temperature "just right" in the cabin. He stepped off, and we smiled at each other. At the same time we both immediately said something to each other like, "What do you think that was, 63…. no wait 64?" LOL
Conclusion: Today was too funny to me. A man with a 6th sense for exact weather temperature reading? How did he not know that at his seat it would be cooler? Did he really believe he could feel the EXACT PRECISE temperature? If so, he should be in charge of the phone app I have for weather… because dang it is always wrong, it could really use his expertise.
Oh, well… we appeased him and he made things interesting on a somewhat boring flight. Just another satisfied (odd) customer.
Disclosure: I want to let you in on a little piece of my life, and this is why I am starting this feature. I hope you enjoy my stories… with a grain of salt of course! My travel stories are in no way a reflection on my employer.
