I’ve always been an extrovert. I love to socialize and you can usually find me putting in my two cents about whatever the topic might be. Last spring a couple of girlfriends at the elementary school I teach at told me about Fieldwork Inc. It’s a nationwide company that uses focus groups to conduct surveys and gather data for a variety of marketing and advertising purposes. They both told me about how they signed up online and were given a chance to get paid cash to spend an hour or two answering questions and discussing certain topics. I was skeptical but excited to find out about it! Getting paid to talk sounded great! I went to www.fieldwork.com and entered my contact information into their data base. I received a call about a month later and answered a series of questions over the phone to see if I qualified for an upcoming study. I did! The study was held in a really nice local office building and I went one evening after work. They even served snacks! I joined about 6 other people in a conference room with a facilitator. We had the chance to look at advertising and talk about our initial thoughts and reactions. This one was relating to pets. I walked out in two hours with $75 cash and a fun experience. The other study I had a chance to participate in was about skincare. I drove downtown Seattle to a fancy hotel and joined about 25 other women to discuss skincare- totally up my alley! This study even included dinner and paid $100 cash for two hours. Fieldwork conducts their studies in many major cities in the United States. Check out the website for more information and to sign up. Let me know if you take part in a survey and have fun!
