Hey everyone! Happy Friday, amirte?!
It was kind of a funky week for me. A few plans fell through which was disappointing, it was rainy and cold and I was extremely busy – yet felt like I didn’t get much done. That kind of a week! I need to get my spirits back on track though because I am supposed to head to New York City tonight (wish me luck on flying standby)!
Of course I am excited for our NYC trip, but the week has been so BLAH that I haven’t really gotten THAT EXCITED! TIME TO GET PUMPED UP!
This trip is a special one because we are meeting up with our friends who are flying in from Ireland. We haven’t seen them in about 5 years – back when we visited them in Ireland. And can I just say that Ireland is AMAZING. It is one of the places in the world that I would love to return to again – if not live there! In fact, my husband always jokes we should retire there and open a Mexican food restaurant. Why?! Why you say??! Well, they love to eat Mexican food and cook it in their homes, but there is not a single Mexican restaurant… and why would there be… it’s Ireland!? Ha.
But since we are talking about my love for Ireland… let me just start my Friday Favorites with that.
Ireland is a magical and serene place. When we visited there wasn’t a single town we didn’t fall in love with. The whole country was like walking around on a movie set. From the pubs in Dublin to the Cliffs of Mohr. And based on our friends who live there – we love the people too! Ireland was magical, peaceful, serene and gorgeous. It is a must to see – you can jump on a plane direct from JFK! 🙂
As a flight attendant, some might say I am an expert traveler. Well, I can tell you that I do a lot of research before I take a trip – or I let my guide do it for me! When I was researching New York City, it was obvious that there was an easy way to see the top sites in New York City – and that was with the New York CityPASS!
With the CityPASS I can easily access several iconic attractions – and skip many of their lines! This CityPASS is the way to go when it comes to seeing the main sites of New York City! And as for EVERYTHING else to do in New York City, I found that NYC & Company had lots of tips, day itineraries and deals. I feel all set for New York!
If you follow me, you know I am into the essential oils lately. I have a bunch of them in my cabinet and use them on a regular basis. I love to add them to my diffuser and also put them together with carrier oil and mix them in roller bottles to apply to the skin. Well, I discovered another awesome way to use them – in an aromatherapy necklace!
This essential oils necklace is so neat! You just place a drop or two on the felt pad inside the necklace and wear it all day! It is a portable diffuser! The necklace is actually quite lovely and comes with a bunch of little pads in different colors. The essential oil pads can be re-used too!
HOME & GARDEN
As the weather gets warmer, the bugs begin to come out in full force. While I love the warm air of Spring and Summer, I do not love the pesky insects that come with it! Around the house and in the garden area we have struggled with ants. They are stubborn aren’t they?
The product that I have found that best keeps them away is TERRO. They have a number of solutions to indoor and outdoor ant infestations. Whether there is a big problem or a problems that is in it’s beginning stage, I know as soon as I put TERRO in charge, I don’t have to worry about them anymore.
Check out the latest TERRO products for ants including TERRO Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits, TERRO Outdoor Liquid Ant Bait Stakes and TERRO Ant Killer Liquid Ant Baits.
