As for us, we are headed to Breckenridge, Colorado to ski (again). We are trying ski all the end-of-the-season snow ( for as long as the snow will allow us to)! So, while some of our friends have gave up skiing for the season, we are determined to ski at least through memorial weekend at the end of May! And too think, I used to hate the sport so much! I digress…
It’s that time where I compile some of my favorite things into one post!
EYE-HEALTH FAVORITE
A friend of mine recently was wearing tinted glasses and we started talking about them. She has trouble with overhead lighting – from inside artificial light to large florescent store lighting. She gets headaches, feels nauseous and sometimes dizzy and faint. I told her that I get migraines frequently when I work and thought maybe it was because of the awful airplane lighting. She highly recommended the glasses and suggested I look into them! The company is Axon Optics and they specialize in high quality tinted glasses for migraines. They make both non-prescription and prescription varieties!
I received the glasses and a very sturdy case from Axon Optics. Immediately I noticed the quality of the product. They are well made, look great and feel like glasses I would buy from a doctor. Secondly, I am really impressed with the “normal-ness” of these glasses. They aren’t bulky or darkly tinted. I feel comfortable wearing these out and about – they look so similar to typical prescription glasses – no unnecessary weird glances from strangers for wearing sunglasses indoors! Not with these!
BEAUTY FAVORITE
I have been in the market for a new thermal hair protector because I am almost done with my previous spray (which I was happy with, but didn’t really like the smell). So I found this one, the Insta Naturals Argan Oil Thermal Protector Spray. It had good reviews and many of them said that it smelled good! Just what I was looking for.
Now that I am using this thermal protector, I’ve got to say it smells AMAZING. Like so, so, so good! I am in love with the scent, and my husband must be too because he keeps telling me I smell good on days that I use it! Beyond the smell, it works great. It is really lightweight, sprays evenly, and adds a nice shiny look to my hair. It has a lock mechanism that is great for traveling too.
FUNNY FAVORITE
I saw this sign in a shop while walking around downtown with a friend. It happened to be just after I was right about (more than) one thing that morning. And of course my husband didn’t listen to my advice! Immediately my friend said, “Oh, you’ve got to send that to him”. And I did. And he admitted he was wrong and needed to listen to me more.

HOME FAVORITE
I ordered these bed sheets for my guests just in time! My guests were arriving in just a few days and I needed new sheets so bad, so I quickly ordered these off Amazon. I was happy that my purchase turned out to be a winner!
The Mellanni Bed Sheet Set have many colors available – but I chose the white. I want the room to give off that hotel feel, and I thought that white sheets would do the trick. They are breathable, soft and elegant. It is the small luxuries like these sheet that make the guest room complete. I am happy about the affordable price of these sheets and now guests can sleep comfortably!
BOOK FAVORITE
This month, I have been reading the book: The Doctor Will See You Now (Recognizing and Treating Endometriosis) by Tamer Seckin, MD, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about endometriosis. It is a disease that effects so many women! I know of a few women who have (or had) endometriosis and sometimes I wonder if I do too.
This is a a great place to start if you think you might have it or want to read about 23 courageous women who has struggled with this disease. It is a disease that affects so many millions of women, yet is not in the limelight enough. It is a great read for every women out there, doctor or people that know someone affected by endometriosis.
PET FAVORITE
I like to keep my dog’s hair clean, soft and silky. The easiest way I do that is by giving her fish oil. She hasn’t always been a fan of the fish oil I have bought for her though. Some brands she has literally avoided when I put it in her food! I must say, those fish oil brands didn’t last long!
I got this Zesty Paws Pure Salmon Oil and she does flips for it! Something she actually loves to eat and it is good for her! Yay! It is a natural supplement for getting her the Omega-3 nutrients that are so good for her hair health… and her overall health! She gets a lot of compliments on her soft fur, and I will continue to get this Pure Salmon Oil for Dogs … until she tells me not to!
FITNESS FAVORITE

SIMPLE THINGS FAVORITE
I was walking around my neighborhood with my dog and I grabbed this shot of this pretty flower! I love the purple color of this flower and the way that it grows! It just makes me happy, and proves Spring is (trying to be) here! Sometimes, you have to stop and smell the roses (or whatever this flower’s name is)!
