Happy Friday, y’all!
I hope your week was a smooth one. As for me, mine was unpacking, cleaning and then re-packing! This weekend I will be in Breckenridge, CO spending some time with the in-law family. We all go up there about once a year and hit the slopes together! But it wasn’t more than a few day ago that I was in Telluride, CO! There are so many great ski resorts in Colorado!
Do you ski? I am just learning, after snowboarding for the past 5 years. It is a new experience for me – but I am getting the hang of it faster than snowboarding (which I sincerely sucked at). Therefore I am going to stick with skiing, and hope that I can get off the green runs… in time… in time…
Anyway, it’s been a couple weeks since my last Friday Favorites post, so I’ve got a few to share!
My Life Favorite
I have got to brag a moment about the cheap gas that I got – yes that is a picture I took in February 2016! Getting gas for under $1 is something I thought I would never do in my lifetime. When I first started driving it was $1.05 and never went down… until recently that is! I took this photo at the King Soopers gas station – a Loaf N Jug and use my fuel points to get a $1 off… so I am a little bit misleading 🙂 But… even so… $1.77! I mean it’s unreal!
What is the cheapest gas you’ve gotten?

I’ve been saving a step in my daily routine with the LED Hair Straightener Brush. It totally rocks! I use this brush straightener to save me a step in my daily routine – brushing and straightening in one action! This straightener brush is easy to use and maneuver through mostly-dry or completely dry hair. It only takes 1 minute tot heat up to 365 degrees. I brush through my frizzy/wavy hair and viola! It doesn’t pull on my hair and it is safer heat since it is ceramic. A really great product!
Pet Favorite
Not too long ago my pup was on antibiotics for two weeks. She didn’t take to them very well and was a little sick from them. After doing some research, I found that probiotics can help dogs just like they help humans… and as you might know by now, I am a huge believer in probiotics for humans!
That’s why I’ve been giving my dog the same health benefits as I have with Probiotics Extra. These probiotics for dog and cats effectively provide relief for diarrhea, loose stools, gas, smelly breath, constipation, allergies, hot spot itching, scratching, excessive shedding, yeast infections, inflammation of the gut & boosts immune system! Wow! You can order this pet probiotic on Amazon for $21.97!

HORCHATA! Have you ever had this stuff? It is soooooo good! I had it for the first time at a little dive Mexican restarant and now I dream about the stuff! So, what did I do? I got online and looked up a recipe! It takes a bit of planning since you have to soak the rice, but other than that it is the easiest recipe! I am going to be making a LOT of horchata from here on out. You can bet your bottom dollar on that!
How to Make Horchata: Pour 1 cup of uncooked long grain white rice and 5 cups of water into a blender. Blend until the rice begins to break up. Let the rice sit in the water for a MINIMUM of 3 hours. After the rice has sat, strain the water out and discard the rice. Stir in 1/2 cup dairy or non-dairy milk (I used coconut milk), 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract, 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon and 2/3 cup whit sugar. Chill and serve on ice.

*I received a Swiffer Duster from BzzAgent.*
I love my Swiffer Wet Jet. I’ve got clean floors because of this wonderful product. But when it came to dusting, I was using old socks and scraps of tee shirts. It works, but I found a better way to dust with the Swiffer 360 Duster. This duster gets to places I couldn’t reach before (like the ceiling fan). It literally grabs the dust and the dust clings to it – so I don’t worry about just spreading the dust on the floor. In just a few minutes I can run through my whole house and grab the dust that’s lurking all around!
I’ve got some awesome Swiffer coupons for you to redeem at Walmart!

I love the rich color I get from the Garnier Olia! While I only dye my hair a couple times a year, I love the look I get from Granier. It is a strong color that lasts and doesn’t fade out quick. My hair feels soft , silky, smooth after applying the color. Overall, I love the shiny and silky results from this hair dye.
