Happy Friday!
How is everyone doing? Are you all able to see the positives among all the negativity out there right now? I am finding it kind of hard, but keep working at it. It is overwhelming though!
This week I tried out the Rusty Bucket restaurant for the first time (delicious) and found a few healthy products that I can’t wait to share with you. I’ve been absolutely enjoying the benefits of the roller derma tool – it is so fascinating! Well, without further ado… here’s to continued health in February!
Derma Roller System
Have you heard of a derma roller? This roller system, also known as a skin roller or microneedle roller, is a small hand-held device with tiny needles on the end. Each roller has 200 medical-grade needles that gently roll on your skin. Why? They give the skin stimulation of your natural collagen and elastin, which promotes healthier and more elastic skin tissue. Basically it helps your skin look smoother, softer and younger. By renewing your skin cells regularly you can ease wrinkles, scars, uneven skin and more. Some people even swear by it as a solution for hair loss. I love using this natural tool as a beauty device instead of all the dermatology treatments!
Rusty Bucket Restaurant
I am a part of the Denver Blogger’s Club, a local group of bloggers that get together once a month to talk about topics that pertain to us. This month we watched a presentation about SEO and blogging from The Market Element while having lunch at the Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern. This comfort food restaurant hosted us by providing a huge selection of their menu to sample while we learned about SEO from Chuck Miller and Andrew Sober. The food we got to sample was impressive! Plates of chicken and waffles, deep fried pickles, breakfast burritos, quesadillas, burgers and more filled our tables. Absolutely delicious. I’ll be heading back to the Rusty Bucket soon so I can share the tasty food with my husband!
Siete Tortillas
Nothing beats the taste and healthy ingredient list of Siete Tortillas. These are the only tortillas I will eat these days. They are paleo friendly, gluten free, grain free, dairy free and vegan (almond only). Since I am gluten free and cannot have flour tortillas, I really started to over do it on corn tortillas. Now, I am trying my *best* at being grain/corn free too. Saying goodbye to grains is hard and these tortillas are saving me! They are great for tacos and wraps and make meals so much more enjoyable!
Made with simple ingredients like almond flour, cassava flour or coconut flour – these are easily approved for many “special diets” like Whole 30, Paleo, Gluten Free and Vegan diets. They are worth the price. Trust me.
Activa Naturals Greens Super Food
I am always up for trying new healthy powders. It is hard to get all the nutrients your body needs from vegetables alone. I often supplement my diet with green super food powders, just so I know I am getting my daily value of greens!
This greens super food comes with antioxidants and probiotics and a full list of nutritious raw foods. Jam packed with organic whole leaf greens, fruits and vegetables – it is a powerful powder that I have been adding to my morning smoothies. I am just the worst at trying to stomach these on water alone. But in my smoothie I don’t mind it!
Each serving provides a whopping amount of antioxidants and servings of fruits and vegetables. You can purchase the Activa Naturals Greens Super Food on Amazon.
ChronicAlly Box
Those with chronic illness can relate to it being a depressing and lonely struggle to go through. Living with chronic illness means some days are good and some are dreadful. Ally, the inventor of the ChronicAlly Box came up with this monthly box because she was living with chronic illness alone and wanted to bring some joy to others. This box provides a little love to those that suffer. It comes filled with all kinds of special goodies and encouraging words. (The box might have candles, body butter, hair accessories, etc.) It is such a fantastic idea.
Check out more on ChronicAlly Box. Send a box to someone who might need some encouragement!
Siete Tortilla Chips
It wasn’t long ago that I was talking to my husband about how I was done with eating tortilla chips. It is just oo much corn and I always over eat them! Then I found Siete Grain Free Tortilla Chips (Whole Foods, guys!) and I no longer need to break up with tortilla chips altogether. These tortilla chips are different than your average corn (high carbohydrate, useless chips) because they are made without grains! Siete Tortilla Chips are non-GMO, gluten-free, and absolutely no corn, wheat, rice, beans, soy or dairy! They are magically made with cassava and coconut flours! So stinkin’ delicious too!
These paleo chips are brand new to the market! You can find them in Whole Foods nationwide!
The majority of Americans have jobs that are at a desk. We spend a lot of time sitting! So it is a good idea to have a quality chair and even better a ergonomic seat cushion. I found the coolest seat cushion on Amazon! It is not only perfect for lower back problems, coccyx and talkbone relief, but it is also heated!
This heated seat cushion is chiropractor approved and can improve posture. It is great for the home office, work office, in the car or wherever you spend a lot of time sitting! The heated feature is my favorite. It keeps me toasty in the winter and my back aligned!
