I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
The "Sweetest Place on Earth" and I go way back. After years and years of visiting, I can tell you, I’m never going to get sick of Hershey, PA.
I might be from the west coast, but I have family from "back east". Each year our family reunions take place near Hershey, Pennsylvania! In fact, I have family members that work at Hotel Hershey and the amusement park too! Every year, all the family goes to Hersheypark for the day to enjoy rides, food and history!
Oh yeah, and every year there are stories told by my aunt, uncle and dad from when they were teenagers and used to work at the park! It is crazy that before my cousins and I were born, our parents were operating some of the same rides that we go on today!
If you’ve never been to Hersheypark, you’re missing out! I’ve been to multiple amusement parks (big and small) and in all honesty, this one IS my favorite! The lines are not nearly as long, the crowds are less, the prices are so much more reasonable. It is a perfect family destination for the young and the young at heart!
The park isn’t some dinky little attraction either. This amusement park has over 65 rides – from exhilarating roller coasters to leisure enjoy-the-sight rides. They have a water park section which is perfect for humid days, and lots of places to spread out!
Visiting my family and getting together for our fun day at Hersheypark means so much to me. I have so many fond memories of traveling afar to see each other and we always have a great time!
Although Hersheypark might be my favorite place in Hershey, PA – there is so much more to see and do – beyond the thrills and chills of the park! There is great dining, Hotel Hershey & Spa (my mom has frequently enjoyed chocolate treatments), Hershey’s Chocolate World, Hershey Gardens, The Hershey Store, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue… and more! It is truly a family town with things to see and do for all age groups!
- As for accommodations, we have so much family in the area, so we typically stay with them, but the accommodations in Hershey are plenty! If you want to stay at the 4-Star resort, the amenities are incredible! Or if you are a looking for something laid back, you can check out the Hersheypark Camping Resort! The campers have full-service facilities to meet their needs of short term and extended stays! I think the deluxe log cabins sound awesome!
- All throughout the summer there is a ton of entertainment happening at Hersheypark Stadium or around Hershey! The line up for concerts this year include: Rascal Flatts, Justin Timberlake, One Direction and More!
When you are thinking about planning your next vacation, I suggest you consider checking out "The Sweetest Place on Earth" – a year-round destination, located in central Pennsylvania, 3 hours from NYC, 90 minutes from Philadelphia or Baltimore, and 2 hours from Washington DC.
