Dessert Wontons Filled with Chocolate, Banana & Cream

These sweet treats will melt in your mouth. They are gooey, delicious and sweet!

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Chiquita banana sliced
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 oz. cream cheese soften
  • 24 won ton wrappers half of a 12 oz. package
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • oil of choice olive oil, coconut oil

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a frying pan so that the bottom is well covered in oil. Heat to wonton package guidelines (approx. 350-375 degrees).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the banana slices and cream cheese. Mash together until blended. (Pre-slice bananas and use room temperature cream cheese to mash easier).
  • Place a single wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Add a pinch of mini chocolate chips (about 10-15) to the center of the wonton. Then drop a small spoonful of banana and cream cheese mixture onto the center of each wrapper. Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon.
  • Dip the tip of your finger into a bowl of water. Moisten edges of wonton wrapper with wet finger. Seal the wonton by folding over one corner to make a triangle and press sides together to close completely. Then bring the bottom edges together to form the look of a wonton.
  • Transfer filled wrappers to preheated frying pan. You can test the heat by dipping the edge of the wonton and see if it bubbles. Fry until wontons are golden brown, flipping wontons 1/2 way through cooking. Less than a 1 minute each side. Lay on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.
