Headlamps can come in very handy for home projects, camping, biking, reading, backpacking and more. If you’ve every tried to do something with your hands while holding a flashlight, you know how frustrating that can be.
Headlamps sure are nice for hands-free lighting!
Basically there are regular headlamps, and then there is the SportsTek Lightwear 4-in-1 Multi-Function Headlamp. This headlamp is a cut above the rest, for a number of reasons.
First of all, LED lighting is the brightest and best. This light is much stronger than my other headlamp. When turned on high, it lights up the whole room. The box says 220 Lumens, if that means anything to you. It does however require a lot of power – 4 AA batteries to get the light powered up.
This headlamp is adjustable to your head, so it can fit all sorts of noggin sizes, or even over a bike helmet. If you’d prefer lighting at waist level, it comes with an attachment that hooks to your belt. This attachment an also work on your bike. It keeps it nice and sturdy too.
There are 3 light settings – bright, medium and flashing. To control the light settings, there is a button along side the battery pack. You press it once for the bright, then press it again, it turns off. The next time you press it will feature the next setting. So essentially you have to press it 5 times to get to the 3rd setting. I am not sure if that is annoying or nice that you have to scroll through on-off-on-off-on, I guess it depends on your preference.
One of my concerns with this headlamp is how it would do in the rain. It says that it is water resistant, and I think it’s definitely not more than that. The rubber battery pack doesn’t feel too water-safe.
Overall, this is a super bright, well-made, and versatile headlamp. It comes in very handy and will be a great addition to our camping gear. You can find this on Amazon.com.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
