We’ve had a MacBook Air in our family for about a year and a half now and we’ve never thought about putting a case on it! Overall, the case seems to do the trick. It’ll prevent scratches and nicks but don’t try and bounce it off the sidewalk!! I must say that the SeeThru technology is pretty slick. We’ve got a coveted decal on our MacBook that we wouldn’t want hidden behind some ugly case. The Speck SeeThru Satin is neither ugly nor does it block your decals… it’s a no-brainer win-win!
Installation is simple: Give your MacBook a nice and easy wipe-down before putting the case on then just snap it into place. Speck mentions that you’ll probably want to pull it off every now and again to make sure that no lint, dust, or other unwanted particles live between your beautiful machine and the case. That’s bad for the finish! So take it off every once in a while to give it a quick wipe down.
