Disclosure: I was provided PrAna clothing in exchange for this post.
I use to dread receiving clothing from my aunt/uncle/mom/dad/(fill in the blank relative) as a present for Christmas. Like when I was 14 years old and opened up a Mickey and Minnie shirt. Or the sweatpants one year… yes, I got sweatpants as a gift. Back then, Mickey and Minnie was for babies or toddlers and sweatpants were just embarrassing. Now, I might be convinced to wear either one.
I digress…
Now-a-days the people in my life know the brands and the styles I like. Brands like prAna are a guaranteed win with me. prAna is one of my favorite stores! I can shop prAna online anytime or head into the Boulder store in town to get my fix.
Recently, I got the opportunity to test out some clothing from prAna.
Here I am in the Stacia Sweater (fair trade and organic) and Kara Jeans (organic).
In Colorado you need clothing for the outdoors. And prAna has got that covered. I love their spin on chic yet casual wear. They make clothing that is versatile to wear both to work and to play. For instance, the Stacia Sweater I am wearing feels like lounge wear but can easily be worn with dressy leggings and boots.
It’s novelty stitching gives this sweater a polished look for wherever you might wear it. I love that it is baggy and loose fitting. I will be wearing it as a relaxed layer over tank tops or underneath my warm puffy vest. It is a perfect Fall to Winter shirt.
I also cannot get enough of the Kara Jeans. I have about 5 pairs in my dresser. (Hey, they make these jeans in 9 colors!) The prAna Kara Jeans are stretchy and comfortable as can be! They fit me true to size but always come a little long on me (I am 5’4″). I solve this shorty issue by rolling the bottom cuff up once or twice — and I actually really like the way that looks!
prAna is sustainable, environmental and gives back!
You know what is fabulous about prAna? They are a company that is really aware. They don’t just produce endless amounts of clothing without thinking about the repercussions to the environment. No! They have sustainable practices and focus on being responsible to the planet! They make clothing that comes straight from the earth too – hemp clothing, organic cotton clothing, fair trade certified and recycled clothing items!
