This weekend was full of joyful festivities!
It is the weekend before Christmas, after all!
Friday: Work and holiday happy hour with adult neighbors.
Saturday: Snowboarding, shopping, Christmas movie night.
Sunday: Christmas service at church, football and cookie baking and delivery.
Whew! It’s now Monday and I am exhausted!
Every minute flew by, this weekend was a blast! I thought I would share some photos of the movie night we had with the neighbors down the street.
Like there is not enough candy and sweets around the holidays, we decided to go all out getting movie snacks for our movie night.
We had Red Vines licorice, movie size boxes of candy: Junior Mints, Butterfinger Bites, Milk Duds, Reese’s Pieces, Good & Plenty, Whoppers and Raisinets. We forgot to ask the neighbors what their favorite candy snacks were, so we just got a selection that they could choose from! The biggest hits were the Butterfingers, Milk Duds and Reese’s Pieces. The only thing that didn’t get opened was the Good & Plenty!
With the candy sitting out on the counter, it was tempting to eat it before the pizzas were done in the oven! But we all were strong enough to resist the urge. We got a couple of different toppings of pizzas, and chowed down.
After dinner, we settled in for our movie night.
We popped some popcorn, put the candy out on the coffee table and settled down on the couch for a fun family movie. What do you think about our 3-D movie glasses?
It was a fun night watching movies with the neighbors, we look forward to doing it again.
