Both the Tucson International Airport in Arizona and the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas got high marks for their artsy vibe. Tucson’s airport is packed with artwork, while Austin’s features live music during the week.
On the east coast of the country, T.F. Green Airport in Providence, R.I. gets props for its low-key atmosphere and, with just 22 gates, the small airport is easy to move through. On the opposite end of the scale, Florida’s bustling Orlando International Airport is admired for its useful amenities, kid-friendly restaurants and shops, plus family-only security lines.
The quirky Branson Airport in Missouri was designed to evoke a rustic lodge, with exposed wood beams, a water wheel, a general store, and a barbecue restaurant. Among the unusually friendly airport services are greeters who welcome travelers when they enter the building, and employees who come out to the runway for the "Branson Wave" to say goodbye to a departing plane.
Rounding out the top 10 list is the tiny New Bern, N.C. Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, with just 10 daily flights, and Palm Beach International Airport in Florida, where travelers can play a round of golf at the main terminal’s indoor putting green before flying off.
