HRST Books’ and the author Lauren Rennells have done an incredible job in producing these books. They have a range of educational and informative information about hair and makeup of the 1920s-1960s, and display the resources in a organized and colorful format. These book have remarkable photographs and illustrations… I could browse the pictures forever! The full color pages of this book are very pleasing to the eye. I love the guides and find them incredible easy to understand and follow.
These books would be great for those in theatrical productions, for Halloween party costumes, cosmetologists, or if you are just interested in the beauty of the vintage times. For me, while I don’t plan on dressing in vintage outfits anytime soon, I just simply enjoy this book for it’s lovely pictures and entertainment factor.
