Whirlpool Wash Team Test Drive & WithOurBest!

Whirlpool-Duet-Test-Team-MomCentral

At first I truly did not believe my eyes. Was I reading this right?

Sure enough, my completely unlucky streak had turned when I was chosen for the review of a lifetime. I slowly read…

Each.

And.

Every.

Word.

…from that Mom Central email about the details and the steps I needed to take to complete my participation in the Whirlpool Wash Team Test Drive. There were a few more forms I needed to fill out and some dates I needed to coordinate before I got started. I could barely formulate an email response back, I was in utter disbelief! Whilrpool-Team-Test-Drive-Post-Duet

I am not lying when I tell you I had to send the ‘acceptance email’ to my husband first, to see if this was real. After he reassured me of my hard work paying off, and only then, was when I truly believed. I was about to review the Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer!

The next few weeks were a whirlwind (pun intended!) of completing the required documents, researching the new machines, cleaning out our laundry room, finding a new home for our old appliances and setting up the delivery of our new Whirlpool Duet pair.

When the beautiful crisp white washer and dryer showed up at our door on that hot August day, it didn’t matter how hot and brutal it was outside, I was determined to do a load of laundry in our new machines!

The delivery and installation men took care of it all. These guys were Whirlpool-only and they set up my machines, attached cords, plugged them in, and even gave me a 5 minute explanation of the basics! They said that it is Whirlpool standard for delivery. Well I like that, very excellent service standards!

After I received my brief tutorial of the machines, I stared in awe for awhile. I am not sure how I snapped out of it (because I could stare at these beauties all day)! I think I was just too excited to test out the features, I knew I couldn’t just infatuate over them all day! After all, laundry needed to be done!

Here is a picture of just how much laundry we are talking about:

Please don’t hold it against me, but we let our laundry get a little out of control and didn’t do some before we left on vacation. That way we could have it all saved up for our brand new Whirlpool Duet Set!

I’ll say! We sure had it saved up! It was about 7 loads total! But no complaints from me! I got it done all in a day, and a lot faster than our old machines – since the wash basket is large – 4.3 cu. feet! Not to mention the fact we don’t need to run our dryer twice any longer! This dryer gets the job done – the first time!

Ok, now that I’ve talked about laundry so much, I know you are anxious about seeing the new set…

Mom-Central-Whirlpool-Test-TeamAren’t they amazing?

There is no doubt that they are beautiful – but they also rock my socks off at laundry!

It was very exciting to get to play around with the new settings and the different cycles. I’ve used the normal/casual wash setting, delicate wash setting and bulky items wash setting so far! And there are even more settings to use in the future including: quick wash, hand wash, my cycle,  whitest whites, and more!

I’ve also tested out quite a few features on the Whirlpool duet dryer. I am amazed with the 6th sense technology and I don’t know how I managed without the wrinkle shield with steam before this!

There are so many features – I can’t wait to share with you!

Be on the look out!! I will be writing a few posts over the next few months, detailing all my experiences with my new Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer. In these posts I will talk more about the special features and give you a user friendly tutorial guide (my YouTube video!) too! YAY! More to come!

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a test-drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Whirlpool and received a complimentary Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer to facilitate my review.

  1. Wow! We’re in the marker for a new washer/dryer for our new home. I’ll definitely add this set to my research list!

    • Linda!
Very exciting! Appliance shopping can be fun!! Let me know if you have any questions about it! (I am doing a few posts over the next few months, but I bet you are getting it sooner!) Just email/msg me!

  2. Kindly send me your address so that I can mail a love letter to your washer and dryer. I’m head-over-heels!

  3. Beautiful set! Love the pictures and holy cow that’s a TON of laundry!

  4. WOOHOO! I am on the same test drive team. Aren’t they amazing?? I am literally rebuilding my basement to create an actual laundry room. Sooo excited. I will be exhausted, but I will finally have a laundry room. :)

    • I know, they rock! I noticed you are going all out with your DIY – I can’t wait to see your finished laundry room! Thanks a million for all of your help tonight!!

  5. Yours are beauties like mine. I didn’t choose the white set, I went with the silver color. I am really enjoying doing laundry more than I ever have.

  6. HAHA – I did the exact same thing when I got the email. I even forwarded it to my husband to re-read for me because I was almost certain that I was missing something.

  7. the sure are beautiful!! I actually enjoy heading to the basement to do laundry now! lol

  8. The cycles are so fun, I’m still trying to find the right kind of dirty laundry for a few of them. For the first time in my life I told my baby to go get a little dirty so I could continue testing all the wash options.

  9. They look wonderfully amazing! I have always dreamed of a laundry room with pretty colors and a beautiful set (like your Duets) and I would add a lounge chair in there and maybe just have a little getaway to read, relax whatever in my laundry room :) :)
