Puzzles are a BIG deal in our family. (Did you know my husband proposed to me with a puzzle? Well, he did. But that’s another story.) Yes. I love puzzles that much.
Putting together puzzles in our family is a bonding experience. We spend hours working on them, especially during the holidays. We sip our beverages, talk and catch up on the latest events in each other’s lives. When we do a puzzle, we are all together. That’s what’s important.
Every year for Thanksgiving our family (over 50 people!) join together at “the cabins” in rural Oklahoma. Some come from in-state and many from out of state. We gather for a weekend and it is a blast each year.
Some of the activities we do at the cabins include: card games, board games, basketball, playing on the playground, fishing, taking walks in the forest, ping pong, and puzzling. We have dedicated game table and puzzle table. And someone always brings a few extra lamps from home, for us late night puzzlers!
To say the obvious, puzzles are more than just puzzles in our family.
This is cheesy, but just like a puzzle, they keep us together too.
This year, I was so so so so so excited to bring White Mountain Puzzles to Thanksgiving this year. I knew my family would be excited too.

They are easy to do with a big group, each person working on their own section. We loved that these puzzles were collages of things to remember. As we set them up, we chatted about the memories they inspired. As we did a collage puzzle of cereals, we chatted about how cool some of the old cereal boxes were! It was too fun.
