I was sent a MacBook Air Case from Hard Candy Cases in order to facilitate this review.

Electronic devices, whether that would be a phone, computer or tablet are not only expensive, they are often our lifelines! So why not treat them this way and protect them from harm? I am protecting my MacBook Air 13” with a case from Hard Candy Cases.

The Hard Candy Case is one of many cases from this device protection shop. As for MacBook cases, they have a handful to choose from, in a number of different color styles. I chose the Hard Shell Case for 13” MacBook Pro Air in the color black.

This case’s snap on shell was very easy to install. It took a little less than a minute to snap into place. (1) Open your computer (2) Position the back of the shell with the back of the screen (3) position the snap in frame on the front of the screen (4) snap in by pushing on the snap frame to the back of the shell. You will know it is set in place with the click noise it will make when it is snapped in. Then do this again with the bottom part, and it’s done!

The Hard Candy Case is a perfect fit for my computer. It has the right openings for each of the computer’s ports and switches, it is snug on to the outside of the computer, and stays put. I have been using this case for about 1 month and it doesn’t add an excess heat to the computer, which was a big fear of mine!

This case has patent-pending “bumpers” which extend off of the computer by about 5mm. They are there for added protection, but take a little time to get used to. I mean, a MacBook Air is so thin and dainty, then when you add this extra protective case to it, it just doesn’t feel the same as it was before. Although it will feel strange at first, it is necessary to protect the corners of the computer.

My favorite feature of this case is how easy it is to take on and off. Since the whole case snaps pieces into place, you just unsnap to remove it. This is different than older solutions that require a lot of “umph” and risk damaging the computer!
