Fruit isn’t always easy to eat during the day or fit in your hectic lifestyle. I know for me, I’m so bad about getting fruit in the morning – but Crunchy n Yummy make it easy!
In the morning I can eat these snacks alone, in my cereal bowl, added to a quick granola mix, or even in my yogurt. I love adding it to my typical fiber-based, grain-y breakfast. It adds some jazz to my cereal bowl!
Crunchy n Yummy are freeze dried fruits that taste great. They contain many natural vitamins and are the perfect daily serving of flavor and nutrition.
Currently Crunchy n Yummy have the following flavors available: banana, pineapple, papaya, mango and strawberry. I taste tested them all and enjoyed each bag, but papaya and mango were my favorites (maybe I am in a tropical kind of mood!)These tasty snacks are certified USDA Organic and Kosher, Gluten Free, Vegan, Peanut Free… nothing added… it’s just fruit! Simple as that. The way snacks should be.
The reason why Crunchy n Yummy fruits are so tasty is because they are naturally freeze-dried at their peak flavor –when the fruit is at it’s ripest. The freeze drying process involves removing all the moisture in a vacuum chamber, and sealing the food in an airtight container. All of the fruit retains their color, flavor and nutritional value. They have no preservatives, salt, sweeteners or gluten.
While reading about the company and it’s products I learned a few neat advantages to freeze dried foods. For example, it is relatively contamination-free since the dehydration process makes it virtually impossible for yeast and potentially harmful bacteria to survive. As a result they can be stored for a long period of time without spoiling, and can be consumed with minimum or no preparation. Shipping and storage costs are minimal since freeze dried fruit are lightweight and they require no refrigeration – better for the environment.
Speaking of the environment, Crunchy n Yummy is a honorable company that believes in upholding a social responsibly to their customers, farmers and the environment. They use only the highest quality organic fruits from local farmers.
These snacks are great for on-the-go, and I know that if you are like me, you are on-the-go! They are light so they would be an easy snack to just carry around in your purse or backpack. This snack would be great for a hike, it weighs almost nothing! The kids could even carry them in their packs with no complaints! Overall, this snack is easy to carry around, to store (no need to take up valuable space in the refrigerator!) and to serve (no cutting up papaya slices or peeling a mango!) Crunchy n Yummy snacks might be all those convenient things but most importantly they are good (no make that GREAT) for you!
