I love to grow herbs inside the house year round. But, in the summer the fruit flies are all over my kitchen and in my herb garden. It is MAJORLY gross. I have used the sticky strips, but I just find them to be ugly and icky when all the bugs are stuck to them. I recently heard of TERRO – it is a new simple Fruit Fly Trap that is this cute little apple, you’d never be able to tell it is a fruit fly trap. It just sits on the counter inconspicuous!
About the trap: This trap is designed to lure adult fruit flies, using a special food based liquid lure. Flies that enter the trap can’t escape to continue breeding. Traps are most effective when placed near breeding sites. I love this little trap. Pretty neat, huh?
TERRO has a wide range of other pesky-little-nuisance-bug products including:
- Ant Control Products
- Perimeter Ant Bait Plus
- Mosquito Repellent
- Multi-Purpose Insect Bait
- Spider Killer Spray
- Liquid Ant Killer
- Ant Killer Liquid Ant Baits
- Ant Killer Liquid Outdoor Baits
- Ant Killer Spray
- Outdoor Ant Killer Spray
- Outdoor Ant Killer Shaker Bag
- Ant Dust
- Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer Spray
- Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer Ready to Use Pump Spray
TERRO has it all! You can visit their site and purchase products online or head to their store finder to find where products are sold at a store near you!

Terro Liquid ant baits can be used outside
susan varney says
The baits can be used outdoors and many times this will draw ants out of the
structure and keep others from entering. Water will not get into the bait
stations unless there the bait station is submerged in standing water

The three most common locations for ant activity are the kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom. These rooms hold exactly with the ants are looking for: moisture, food, and warmth. Do not kill the ants, but rather, follow them. Worker ants are sent out from the main colony in search of moisture and food. By following these ants, you can find where they are entering the house and where the main colony is located. One indicator of a colony is bits of soil piles up near the wall or a crack in the slab

CARPETS – Most pest ants like to trail under the edge of carpets. Inspect along the walls under the carpet beside the tack strip. A good place to start is in front of fireplaces and sliding glass doors. When foraging ants are found, try to trail them back to their colony location.
