I wear a watch everyday. I am kind of picky, I have a few standards for all watches that I wear.

1. Since I wear a watch nearly 24/7 I don’t want something that is bulky and heavy. My wrist and my hand WILL get tired! But I don’t want something flimsy and light – it won’t last for the long run. That means, for me, it is important for a watch to be lightweight yet durable.

2. I also need to be able to read it. Simple, right? I don’t like when the numbers are too small to read or there are no numbers at all. I like the hour, minute AND second hand.

3. Lastly, I like a watch to be cute and fashionable. Of course not the most important of these requirements, but important enough. I have to wear watches all the time (pun intended) so I want something that is pleasing to the eye.

I was asked to review a J3LL watch (I thought they would send me one – they sent me FOUR!) I was happy to do this review (since I always need new watches) but I also knew I would be a tough critic based on my above criteria. Basically, these watches had a lot to live up to.

1. So first of all, based on my lightweight yet durable criteria, I give the watch an A+.  The watches are made from ionized silicone rubber – very light, comfortable and soft on the skin. The material is flexible.

I have been wearing it for the past 2 weeks and it has lived up to my durability test so far. My dog thought it was a toy on my wrist though– and has bitten it a number of times… durability good, dog toy not so good.

2. Secondly, as far as being able to read it, I have mixed feelings. The face screen is large enough to see. It is quite big in fact! But, I do not like that not all the numbers are on the face.

I like to read the time quick – and not have to think! The only numbers that are on the face are 12 and 6, and there is a line across for 3 and 9.

But I will admit,  I tend to be more picky about this, since I need to tell passengers on the plane the time frequently. More frequently than the average person just occasionally checking his/her watch. I do realize this is more personal preference, and that some people may like the more smooth look, without the numbers.

3. Cute and fashionable? You can be the judge. For me, it is kinda big and flashy. It is more of a mans watch. It sticks out significantly above my wrist and is bulky. But I do like that there are a ton of fun options to make this watch your own fun and funky watch.

The bands and faces are interchangeable. They are surprisingly very easy to change out. You can make a bunch of color combinations with the faces and bands. This is a fun feature that allows you to be as matchy-matchy or as goofy as you want! They can fit any style or outfit!

This stamp is ideal for your typical font size (10-12 point) . It will cover 4-lines, like and address, if it is normal letter size print.

TV isn’t of much interest to me. I would much rather be playing games with my family than watching some idiotic American run their over-done plastic surgery mouth! What a waste of time! Instead, I will choose to play a game, any game! I think playing games with the family is one of the most ultimate bonding experiences. Tom, the inventor of the game Numenko, feels the same way I do. In fact he invented Numenko for his daughter and him to play! I love that! And now he has a travel version that he plays with his granddaughters too!

Tom introduced me to the game and described it to me like this:  “If you can play Scrabble you can play Numenko”. It is like scrabble but with numbers. I thought that sounded interesting, so I gave it a try!

I was sent the travel version of Numenko. The travel version comes in a velvety bag with a bunch of little wood tiles with numbers, smiley faces and (-, +, ÷, x and =) symbols on them! It is a very simplistic game, not much to it. It is all about a little math and a little pattern.

This game is not about high scores or much competition at all, although there is a winner. All players play at the same time but each player plays independently. You make equations, kind of like scrabble makes words. In regards to playing time, it is not too lengthy. I enjoyed that it made me brush up on my math skills (I did have to pull out a pencil and paper for some of the math!) There isn’t pressure and you play at your own pace, but you don’t want to have any tiles at the end.

When playing with just adults, we decided there are a few loop holes, but overall I thought this game was a fun way to play with numbers! This game is ideal for younger children or those who are not so sure of their number skills, and can be played by all ages at the same time.

The travel version is played without a board and can be played anywhere. It can be played with 2-6 players, aged 7+. There is also a board game version (that comes with a board) that is slightly different. It is designed for players ages 9+.
