The view was completely breathtaking. Absolutely stunning. Despite the high winds that day, and slight overcast sky, nothing could take away the magnificent view we saw of the Cliffs of Moher. Really there is nothing like these cliffs, and that is why they are one of Ireland’s top tourist attractions! Hubby and I (on the left) took the immaculate view in with our Irish-native friends (on the right) and wished for hot cocoa as my husband set up the tri-pod and snapped photo after photo. He was lucky (photo wise) that we went on a day with no rain and few clouds. He took over 30 pictures of the cliffs alone (not including these with us in them)! Most of our pictures turned out just as breathtaking on photo as it was in real life. We have been cherishing these photos for a year now and decided to get a canvas print of them. My hubby had a fantastic idea to do two canvas prints side by side to make a panoramic look of the Cliffs of Moher. I first heard about Tommee Tippee products from a good friend with a sweet new baby girl. She has been exclusively breastfeeding and wanted to get the best bottle possible to use when she decides to pump. My son is now 6 months old and we are beginning to embark on the world of ‘solids’. He also insists on grabbing anything and everything in sight which can make feeding time quite the challenge. I am so happy to have my new Tommee Tippee products to help with the process. I received the Explora Weaning Mat and Explora Weaning Bowls. The mat is awesome and I’ve never seen anything quite like it! It is a non-slip mat that grips easily to most surfaces. The center of the mat has a raised circlular part that holds Tommee Tippee Weaning bowls. Although I’ve only tried them at home on our high chair, a huge bonus is the fact you can bring the mat with you to restaurants or anywhere your little one might be eating. My son was able to “help hold” his bowl while eating without it sliding all over the place and creating a huge mess. The set of 4 bowls have a nice lip on them great for baby to grip. We’ve been using them everyday from morning oatmeal to sweet potatos at night! I also love the bright, funky colors.

Readers, don’t take that wrong. You are very smart, I know this because for the most part you spell words right in the comments. But seriously, are you AS smart as you CAN be when it comes to the environment?

I know for me personally there is always SOMETHING more I could do to reduce my carbon footprint and to give back to the environment. One major way I am SMART is by having a garden. In my garden I grow my very own fruits and vegetables. Gardens are a great thing, but unless you use environmentally safe pesticides, you might as well not garden at all, instead buy organic.

My Thoughts

My Thoughts

I can’t help but feel safe when spraying this on my plants because o the list of active ingredients such as rosemary oil, peppermint oil, thyme oil, clove oil, etc. I can spray this on my plants and not worry about harvesting them later – in fact, you can spray and harvest safely in the same day!

Weed & Grass Killer (24 oz spray bottle)

Kills all types of weeds and grasses. For use on patios, walkways, driveways, around trees and shrubs, along fences and foundations and in other areas of your yard.

My Thoughts

The weed and grass killer worked wonders on the annoying grass that filled in the cracks on the side of our house. I will be using this weed and grass killer further on our cement walkway, driveway and sidewalk. I am going to get at it a.s.a.p. so I can stop the weeds and grass while they are actively growing. But I might wait a few weeks because this product works best in temperatures above 60°. It’s spring, but we’re not quite there yet!

My Thoughts

As for the Mosquito Fogger, I don’t think I have to tell you twice why I am intrigued by this! You spray it in the air instead of on you to kill and repel mosquitoes, flies, gnats, moths and more! It is like an invisible tent! Finally you can have a picnic in peace (no bugs flying down on your food!)

You might be thinking I have had or have a bed bug infestation and this is why I am interested in the bed bug killer and repellent – but thankful no and no. BUT they have caused a HUGE issue in hotels and some major cities. They are no joke PEOPLE! And since I practically live in hotels – I a terrified of getting them! (Oh Ps – did you hear they found them on an American Airlines plane, ewwww!! Bug Bomb!) They are serious little bugs and this travel size spray would be fine bringing it through TSA security!

Overall, I love that using EcoSMART essentially makes me SMART! By using this brand I am doing my part – using organic garden products and keeping the bad chemicals out of the soil and water! Not only am I looking out for the big picture, I am looking out for me! I am directly taking care of my family and I’m not putting those nasty, harmful chemicals on the fruits and veggies that I eat (and the plants my dog sometimes eats too!) Alright, now that I have shared my “honesty is the best policy” policy, let’s take a look at the Purex product I tested out most recently… Purex Complete with Zout.

What is it?

Purex Complete with Zout is a detergent and pre-treater, all in one. That’s how Purex likes to get things done, with efficiency (Purex Complete 3-in-1 anyone?) because they know that we are busier than ever!

It is a super powerful combination that works with the proven performance of Purex detergent with triple-enzyme stain-fighting power of Zout stain remover. It gets stains out the first time – even tough stains like grass, chocolate, and tomato sauce! (And I’m testing this out, see below!)My Serious Test/Review

I tested the Free and Clear Purex Complete with Zout. (The other fragrance available is Fresh Morning Burst.) The Free and Clear is just as the title states, free of fragrance and has hypoallergenic formula for sensitive skin. I have never used a fragrance-free detergent before. Lately I have been sick A LOT and my doctor suggested allergies, and to keep allergies on the down-low, products like the Free and Clear are recommended.

For my sniff test I opened the bottle to find out what Free and Clear smells like. And well, you assumed right, it doesn’t smell like much, because it is free of perfumes and dyes. So that’s the point! It might take some getting used to not having the smelly stuff. Since it has no dyes its color is clear, which it my favorite part because the blue stuff spills and stains my washer top and floor!

Now what you’ve been waiting for – the quality test. I had a sweatshirt ready to go that had a strawberry stain on it. (Yes, I dropped a half eaten strawberry on my shirt.) I used the detergent as a pre-treater – to help eliminate the stain before the wash. I just put a dab of the Purex Complete with Zout on the stain and threw it in the wash with the clothes. This detergent is powerful and got the stain out on the first wash!

It also has dual compatibility – which means it can be uses in both standard traditional top loading washing machines as well as my (HE) High Efficiency machine too!

I am satisfied with what the detergent did for my strawberry stain and can trust it to use on other stubborn stains including grass, chocolate, and tomato sauce (Ugh I hate when the sauce gets those tiny little specks all over you shirt… slurping your noodles does that!)

Fill that basket! Easter basket ideas!

Do you have any Easter traditions? We had a set schedule for that special Sunday, first came church, then a plentiful lunch and of course the kids waited all day for the Easter egg hunt! When we were too old for the hunt, we still got a basket full of goodies. Mom never failed us.

Easter baskets can be filled with many great things! What about non-traditional educational items, reading material and new school supplies that have been lost since the start of school? This way you can get the kids some things that they actually need!

They can be filled with small games, travel size puzzles and small toys. I loved this LEGO Easter Bunny for a boys basket! Or how adorable is this striped long eared bunny, I think I might want it for myself!

When filling baskets with candy, things can get pretty sweet quick! So why not mix things up with some healthier options? Fat Free Welch’s Fruit Snacks fit perfectly in the plastic eggs and are on the healthy side of gummies! Not only are they America’s favorite fruit snack, they are mine! Review Horizon Organic Milk {Ends 4/5}

Back in the good ol’ days families had farms, gardens and raised animals for their family’s food and milk. I love hearing stories from my mom about her cow growing up, she still tells us of her fond memories of her memorable friend (no, seriously she adored that cow… she can tell stories for hours- don’t get her started!!)

I find it so neat she had a farm and raised her own food. But my childhood on the other hand, was typical to most kids these days, in the suburbs and the city. It has just become the norm that very few families raise their own cattle. It makes me sad that we rely on other people for our food and we don’t appreciate the effort and hard work of the food we put in our bodies.

This is why the large companies have streamlined the business. “Beefing” up their cows for more meat and keeping the cows in tight living quarters. Sad, right?!

Let’s not get completely depressed though, because there are companies like Horizon Organic that are dedicated to their product. They are different in the fact they sell organic, simply great milk.

They partner with over 600 organic family farmers to produce the best out there (while supporting the “little guys”). When reading their Standards of Care, I was impressed with their practices and policies, such as – they believe the dairy cattle should be grazing and outside in the open as often as possible. I think so too! After all, they are cows!!

Most recently we tried Horizon Organic’s newest product, Fat-Free Milk Plus DHA Omega-3. My husband loves Horizon milk, and this new product was no different. In fact he thinks it is “the best milk ever.” Literally, he said that after the first sip! This milk is sure not to go bad and expire in our fridge! I also like Horizon milk, both for the company practices and their healthy, tasty milk options… oh I like their cheese too.. yum!
